The 2016 BMW M6 GT3 is a German touring car manufactured by BMW’s motorsport department BMW Motorsports. The M6 GT3 acts as the successor to the BMW Z4 GT3 that was manufactured between 2010 and 2015. Development of the BMW M6 GT3 began in 2015 with the purpose of competing in FIA GT3 sanctioned races and was unveiled to the public on the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany.
Under the hood, the BMW M6 GT3 comes equipped with the same engine found in the regular BMW M6, however, it has been modified and tuned for racing. The engine, a 4.4L V8 twin-turbo engine is capable of developing 560 horsepower at 6,000 revolutions per minute.
The Crew 2[edit | edit source]
The BMW M6 GT3 made its first appearance in The Crew 2 where it is was released post-launch on January 2nd, 2019 as part of the January 2019 vehicle drop, the first drop of 2019 alongside with the Mercedes-Benz GLC 250 4Matic Coupe. The BMW M6 GT3 is listed as a touring car and is only be available as such. Season pass owners of The Crew 2 are currently granted seven-day exclusive access to the vehicle whilst regular players will be given access to the M6 GT3 a week later, on January 9th, 2019.
