The 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T is an American two-door hardtop muscle sports car manufactured by Dodge. The 1970 model is part of the first generation Dodge Challenger R/T that was in production between the years of 1970-1974. It was one of two cars featured Chrysler's E-body platform (with the other car being the Plymouth Barracuda) and was designed by Carl Cameron in 1968. The R/T (which stands for Road/Track, no use of "and") is a trimmed performance variant of the original Dodge Challenger.

Under the hood, the Dodge Challenger R/T comes equipped with an R-class rated 7.0L HEMI V8 engine developing 425 horsepower at 5,000 revolutions per minute. Production of the first generation ended in 1974 and was succeeded by the second generation with its production start in 1977 starting with the 1978 year model.
