The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T HEMI is an American two-door coupé muscle car manufactured by Dodge. The 1969 year model is part of the second generation of the B-body platform Dodge Charger (which itself was based on the Chrysler B platform). The vehicle is equipped with a 7.0L HEMI dual 4-barrel V8 engine capable of developing 425 horsepower.
The 1969 Dodge Charger is famous for being featured in the television series The Dukes of Hazzard which aired 1979-1985 as it featured an orange Dodge Charger R/T nicknamed "The General Lee" with a confederate flag on top of the vehicle. The flag has recently been subject to a large amount of controversy.
The Crew[]
The Dodge Charger R/T HEMI appeared in the first installment of The Crew and can be purchased from the New York City, New York, car dealer with either 240,975 bucks or with 62,993 club credits.
The Crew 2[]
The Dodge Charger R/T HEMI re-appeared in The Crew 2 where it can be acquired in four different vehicle types with the main stock vehicle being listed as a Street Race. Apart from the street racing version, the Charger R/T HEMI is also available as a Drift, Rallycross and a Touring Car, as well as a Demolition Derby as part of the Chase update. The demolition derby model is the first licensed demolition derby vehicle in the game.
Masked Edition
A special variant of the Charger R/T HEMI that was made available alongside the Car-nage LIVE Summit, named Masked edition, is a modified version of the car that features a black paintjob with a red roll cage and a solid black window tint, as well as a health bar like a Demolition Derby vehicle. However, unlike Demolition Derby vehicles and like the Creators K.S. Masked Leader, when the car is being damaged, its health bar will not deplete. The special edition vehicle is also listed as a Street Race but is only available as such. It is rated 130 out of 280 and can be purchased at any time with either 488,600 or 69,800.
During the Dominion Forsberg update, this variant (along with the K.S. Masked Leader) became a popular choice in the Dominion Frozen themed street race time trial due to the fact that it would not be affected by traction loss from the icy surface. This resulted the following summit (Scandanavian Flick, Frozen Sin, Frozen Peak and Ice Crown) to have some of their street race event being restricted to loaner cars until the issue was fixed in the following update.
