The 2005 Ford GT is an American two-door coupé supercar manufactured by Ford. The Ford GT serves a tribute to the Ford GT40 and was supposedly meant to serve as the second generation, however, due to the British racecar engineering firm Safir owning the trademark rights for the Ford GT40, the name was simply dropped to the Ford GT.

The Ford GT was first introduced in 2002 as a concept car before being put into production in 2004. Production continued to 2006 with a total of 4,038 units built. The Ford GT is equipped with a 5.4L Ford Modular supercharged V8 engine developing 550 horsepower at 6,500 revolutions per minute.

The first generation of the Ford GT was succeeded by the second generation with the first model in line being the 2017 Ford GT.

The Crew[edit | edit source]

The Ford GT did appear in the first installment of The Crew. Players can purchase the vehicle from the Los Angeles, California, car dealer with either 225,000 bucks or with 49,995 club credits. The Circuit Spec version of the Ford GT is used in the Crumple Zone mission.
