The 2016 Ford GT Le Mans Race Car (also known as Ford GT Race Program) is an American touring car manufactured by Ford’s motorsport division Ford Performance and was specifically constructed with the main purpose of competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit endurance race in 2016. The vehicle is based on the second generation 2017 Ford GT.

Prior to its appearance in the Le Mans endurance race, the GT Le Mans Race Car made its debut on the 24 Hours of Daytona endurance race where it managed to finish in seventh and ninth place. The Le Mans Race Car made its Le Mans debut on June 16th, 2016, where it managed to win the LMGTE pro class courtesy of Ford Chip Ganassi Racing marking the 50th anniversary since Ford won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 with the Ford GT40.

Under the hood, the Ford GT Le Mans Race car comes equipped with a 3.5L Ford EcoBoost V6 engine which is commonly found in Ford’s more high performance vehicles. Not much is known about the GT Le Mans’ power output but it is believed to be above 500 horsepower.[citation needed] The vehicle is much lighter than its standard roadcar counterpart.

The Crew 2

The Ford GT Le Mans Race Car made its first appearance in The Crew 2 where it is listed as a TC2LogoTC Touring Car and is only available as such, however, it is the touring car version of the 2017 Ford GT which is present in-game. The vehicle wasn't available on launch but was added later into the game alongside with the King of Mayhem update.
