Part 1 of Latrell's Car begins in Las Vegas, NV and is a sprint city to city race to Los Angeles, CA. Before the race there is a cutscene shown where it is known that the main prize of the event by the event organizer is the Koenigsegg Regera. Hiro explains that they want to win the event and the Regera to then hand it to Latrell Jordan as a gesture for the help that they've received from him.

Players must win the race in order to unlock part two regardless of the difficulty level that the player has chosen. Once the player has won the race, another cutscene shows up where Hiro is modifying the Regera prize car. Players do not get to keep the Koenigsegg Regera, it is handed to Latrell in part two.
