Wild Run is The Crew's first expansion. It was announced at E3 2015, and was released on November 17 of that year. It added a lot of new features and content to the game, such as the Summit. New vehicles and vehicle specs were added (Drift, Drag, and Monster Truck), as well as the addition of motorbikes. The expansion also provided massive graphical changes.

With the Wild Run update, the graphics, the HUD, and the handling model were modified, and a dynamic weather system was added to the game. It also added eight new cars. Following updates gave players the ability to take photos, try out the new specs, and even create their own movie clips. The Summit reward cars could also be bought by players who don't own the expansion two months after the first Summit where they could be won.

The Wild Run expansion added the Summit, a traveling festival that let players compete to win different rewards, including performance parts, free starter kits and new vehicles, along with three new specs: Monster, Drag and Drift. The expansion also featured motorbikes that could be customized into all of the base game's specs.
