Traffic in The Crew series consist of various types of AI-controlled vehicles between land, sea and air. Majority of which were normally land vehicles found in public roads such as cars, trucks and buses.
They serve as obstacles to players when participating select races or during free roam, aside to those found parked in specific places. Ramming them will temporarily stop them, but they may proceed to drive again after a short period of time. Trains roaming in railroad tracks cannot be stopped and they will simply push the player's vehicle when they attempt to ram one.
Since The Crew 2 onwards, sea and air vehicles mainly seen in the ocean and in the sky respectively became new obstacles to players piloting boats and planes.
Traffic vehicles were mostly unnamed fictional models, some of which were actual real-world models under license, while few others were apparently recycled/reused models from other games produced by Ubisoft.

Trivia[]
- Despite having dirt textures, traffic vehicles cannot drive off-road normally since they aren't scripted to do so. However, they can be pushed off-road which can be hard, as they can be stubborn they use the brakes when being pushed, depending on which one your pushing (easy if small like a sedans, compacts, pickups, suv, etc and hard if it's large like a semi or bus), but they will stop when they are near an off-road intersection.
- As stated above, the dirt textures could imply that they could appear off-road, but never happened due to unknown reasons presumably time constraints.
- Occasionally, if you manage to push a traffic vehicle onto railroad tracks, the traffic vehicle will follow the railroad tracks.
- This also applies to speedways, ski jump, the drag strip in Mother Road 66, Lombard Street and LA River.
- The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of The Crew, the traffic's models are shown different than the ones in the PC, Xbox One and PS4, those didn't get passed on to the The Crew 2
- Due to the overall buggy nature of traffic vehicles, they will occasionally knock down street lights, crash into each other, go off the road/wrong side of the road, etc.
